Leftovers

Leftovers

Don’t feel bad! Many homeowners start home improvement projects they ultimately aren’t able to finish. When you make the decision to sell your house as-is, the pressure to complete that work in progress goes away. If you’ve purchased materials that are still able to be returned you should do so, it’s safer to assume that the buyer will prefer to make their own project and product choices. You should let the buyer know up front and before signing the purchase agreement about anything that you’ve purchased that can’t be returned, especially more expensive items like windows, doors, and siding, as those may have value to the buyer and can get you a better price for the house.
